The 2023 Poker Masters continued at the PokerGO Studio from ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the stakes have been raised as Nick Petrangelo bagged the chip lead over the six remaining players in Event #7: $25,000 No-Limit Hold'em.

Petrangelo ended the day with a stack of 1,890,000, and leads Chris Brewer, Brian Rast, Nick Schulman, Justin Saliba, and Victoria Livschitz into the final day of play as the six players return at 12 p.m. PT on Friday, September 22 with the delayed final table stream beginning at 1 p.m. PT on PokerGO.

The field of 44 entrants created a prize pool of $1,100,000 and the top seven finishers earned a piece of it. Chance Kornuth was the unfortunate bubble boy when he got his chips in on the flop with bottom pair against Rast's pocket sevens. The turn and river bricked and Kornuth just missed out on his third cash of the series.

The remaining players exchanged chips around the table before Petrangelo and Ren Lin got into a blind-versus-blind confrontation on the river. Petrangelo jammed with his straight and Lin called all in with his top pair to be eliminated in seventh place, although Lin did pick up his fourth cash of the series and reclaimed the second spot on the Poker Masters leaderboard. The six remaining players then bagged and tagged to return for the streamed final table on Friday.

Petrangelo, Rast, and Schulman each notched their first cash of the series, while Saliba and Livschitz each picked up their second. Brewer snagged his third cash of the series and could potentially move up to second on the Poker Masters leaderboard in the race for the Purple Jacket as the returning players eye the $374,000 first-place prize, 224 PGT points, and Event #7 trophy.
