The PGT Championship is the season-ending PokerGO Tour (PGT) tournament and will be held in December 2023 at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, Nevada. The PGT Championship is a $1,000,000 freeroll that guarantees $500,000 for the winner and is open to players ranked in the top 40 on the PGT leaderboard at the end of the season and select Dream Seat winners.

There are multiple ways to win a Dream Seat throughout 2023, and the first winner has been selected, with Colorado's Albert Hart being chosen from the list of PokerGO annual subscribers as the first Dream Seat winner of 2023.

How Did Albert Hart Win a Dream Seat?

Multiple ways to win a Dream Seat in 2023 include playing in the RunGood Poker Series Dream Seat Invitational and the PokerGO Social Media Dream Seat Giveaway. However, Albert Hart won his Dream Seat through the PokerGO Annual Subscriber Dream Seat Giveaway, giving all PokerGO annual subscribers three opportunities to be chosen.

Hart's name was drawn last week, but anyone that is an annual subscriber of PokerGO will have their next opportunity to win a Dream Seat on July 17; the final day of the 2023 WSOP Main Event final table. The third winner will be drawn at a to-be-determined date in the Fall.

Who Is Albert Hart?

Hart is a retired computer programmer that lives in Centennial, Colorado, with his wife, who he has been married to for 55 years. Hart helps out as a volunteer for Housed Working and Healthy, a local charity that teaches homeless people to become chefs and find jobs and independent housing. Hart uses his extensive experience to handle all the website and database needs for Housed Working and Healthy.

When it comes to the poker, felt, Hart has an impressive resume that includes over $308,000 in lifetime tournament earnings, according to The Hendon Mob. Hart's first win came at the 2009 Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic in a $330 No-Limit Hold'em event where he won $5,905.

The highlight of Hart's poker career was in 2016 when he finished in fourth-place in the Heartland Poker Tour $1,650 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event at Black Hawk, Colorado, for $69,229.

"I was all-in and at-risk ten times on Day 2 and managed to win them all," Hart said about his fourth-place finish.

Hart has amassed poker results in both Black Hawk and Las Vegas and has three WSOP cashes to his name. He plays mostly at Bally's Black Hawk in their $300 weekly tournaments but will play in bigger buy-in special events. Hart has been scheduled a trip to Las Vegas for the upcoming WSOP $1,500 MONSTER STACK tournament.

What Does Albert Hart Love on PokerGO?

Hart loves to watch the PGT tournaments throughout the year in an effort to learn from some of the world's best players.

"I love the great commentary as they predict what the players might do and explain the logic of their bets and calls," Hart said on watching PGT events on PokerGO.

In December, Hart will get to watch himself on PokerGO when he takes a seat against the players he has watched many times in the 2023 PGT Championship.

Albert Hart and Jonathan Little Partner Up

Jonathan Little has been Hart's favorite player for many years. After his big score on the Heartland Poker Tour in 2016, Hart hired Little as a poker coach and would sporadically get poker lessons from him.

This relationship led to Little using some of Hart's hands in his book "Bluffs" later that year, and Hart even had his name featured on the cover.

"I still use the ideas we developed in the book for almost all my strategy," Hart said about Little's book, Bluffs. "It is not about making wild bluffs, but rather about playable hands, which many opponents see as crazy bluffs."

Will Hart pull off a bluff against Daniel Negreanu in the 2023 PGT Championship that goes viral on social media? We really hope so, and the only way to know is by watching the 2023 PGT Championship on PokerGO. There is still plenty of time also to join Hart as a Dream Seat winner - check out the Dream Seat page on PGT.com to see how you can win a Dream Seat into the PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll.
