2024 PokerGO Cup Runs January 25 - February 3

The fourth annual PokerGO Cup will be the second series of the 2024 PGT season and run from January 25 to February 3, 2024. The 2024 PokerGO Cup will be held inside the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The eight-event schedule is a No-Limit Hold'em series with buy-ins ranging from $5,100 to the $25,200 finale, with all events playing down to the final table of six who return the following day to conclude play on PokerGO.com. Each event will allow players a maximum of two reentries, and players who are in the registration line before the scheduled start time will receive a discount rake on their first entry. The PGT shot clock will be active during the PokerGO Cup, with players having 20 seconds to act on their hand preflop, and 30 seconds postflop. Time extensions are worth 30 seconds each, regardless of which street they are used, and players begin with eight for entry before the first break and then six thereafter.

Event #1 will be the first time the opening event of a PGT major series will be a $5,100 buy-in, and levels in this event will be 30 minutes in duration, with registration closing at the start of Level 9, approximately 4:30 p.m. PT. Events #2 to 7 will see levels increased to 40 minutes in duration, with registration closing at the start of Level 7, approximately 4:30 p.m. PT. The Event #8 finale will see levels increased to 45 minutes in duration, with registration closing at the start of Level 7, approximately 7 p.m. PT.

The PokerGO Cup is part of the 2024 PGT season, with players earning PGT points based on the amount they cash for in each event. The PGT points awarded during the PokerGO Cup will also decide who is crowned the PokerGO Cup champion and receive the $25,000 PGT Passport bonus.

2024 PokerGO Cup Satellites

There are three satellite opportunities for players looking to win their way into the PokerGO Cup cheaply before the PokerGO Cup series kicks off on January 25, 2024.

From January 22-23, two satellites will be held in the ARIA Poker Room beginning at 1 p.m. PT. The buy-in for the satellites is $1,100, and players who register by the start time will receive a $60 discount. Each satellite sees players start with 100,000 in starting chips, and levels will be 30 minutes in duration. Seats won can be used for any $10,100 buy-in event during the PokerGO Cup.

On Wednesday, January 24, there will be a $560 buy-in satellite into the opening $5,100 buy-in event of the PokerGO Cup. The satellite begins at 1 p.m. PT from inside the ARIA Poker Room, and players start with 100,000 in starting chips. Levels will be 30 minutes in duration.

Who Will Win the 2024 PokerGO Cup?

Previous winners of the PokerGO Cup include Cary Katz (2023), Jeremy Ausmus (2022), and Daniel Negreanu (2021). Those three players will also be among the favorites to make a run at winning the 2024 PokerGO Cup, along with current PGT leaderboard front-runner David Coleman, who made four final tables during PGT Kickoff to top the PGT leaderboard with 590 PGT points. On top of his PGT results, Coleman kicked off 2024 by winning the Card Player Poker Tour $1,600 No-Limit Hold'em for $115,989 - the first of his three victories in 2024.

Nestled behind Coleman on the PGT leaderboard is Kristen Foxen, who has 429 PGT points. Foxen won Event #5 during PGT Kickoff after finishing in third place in Event #3. Other players with a strong PGT Kickoff and will likely look to parlay that into the PokerGO Cup include Aram Zobian, Samuel Laskowitz, Stephen Chidwick, and Alex Foxen.

How to Watch the 2024 PokerGO Cup?

Every event of the 2024 PokerGO Cup is a two-day event, with Day 1 playing down to the final table. Day 2 will see the final six players return to the PokerGO Studio to conclude the event and crown a champion. 

Each PokerGO Cup final table will be streamed on OTT service PokerGO from 4 p.m. ET from January 26 to February 3, 2024. Day 1 coverage of each event will be handled exclusively by the PGT Live Reporting Team on PGT.com.
