Lautaro Guerra has emerged victorious for the second time in three days at the first-ever PGT PLO Series. Guerra was the last man standing in Event #7: $15,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Bounty to claim the trophy and $228,000 first-place prize, in addition to the 15 bounties he collected for another $75,000.

Guerra also takes the lead on the PGT PLO Series leaderboard by a good margin and is in pole position to win the PGT Trophy and $25,000 championship bonus with only one event remaining. The Spanish player won Event #5 only days ago for a $220,400 score and now has another title to his name with his victory in Event #7.

The 114-entrant field created a total prize pool of $1,710,000 which paid out the top 17 places, with $570,000 of the prize pool reserved for bounties. The bubble took a couple of hours to burst before Jared Bleznick was eliminated as the unfortunate "bubble boy". Alex Foxen was the short stack and down to five big blinds while on the bubble, but he was able to spin that all the way up to a podium finish where he fell in third place.

A key hand occurred down the stretch between Guerra and eventual runner-up Isaac Kempton when 11 players remained. A short-stacked Damjan Radanov got his chips in and Kempton decided to go "bounty hunting" when Guerra was also in the pot. Guerra woke up with aces and was willing to risk his big stack; a decision that led to him having an overwhelming chip lead.

From that moment, Guerra dominated as chip leader all the way to heads-up play, where Kempton faced a rematch to possibly complete a self-proclaimed "redemption arc". Kempton took the lead at one point during heads-up play, but Guerra fought back and retook the majority of the chips. Eventually, the rest of Kempton's stack went in on the river with trips against Guerra's rivered straight, and the Spaniard was once again victorious.

Just one qualifying event remains in the series with the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, and everyone in the top ten will likely need a victory to overtake Guerra. The three players trailing Guerra - Sean Troha, Nacho Barbero, and Jim Collopy - all have victories this series while the remaining players - including international Omaha experts Eelis Parssinen, Jonas Kronwitter, and Joni Jouhkimainen - are still searching for their first title.
