Jim Collopy emerged victorius in PGT PLO Series Event #6: $10,000 Mixed PLO / PLO 8 / Big O, coming out ahead of Dylan Weisman, George Wolff, and start of the day chip leader Tyler Brown at the final table. Collopy outlasted the 86-entry field to take home the first-place prize of $206,400.
Collopy began the day third in chips, but quickly picked up the chip lead on Day 2 and would ride that out until his eventual victory. The day kicked off with the elimination of George Wolff in sixth place. Wolff was chopped up in a hand of PLO8 by both Collopy and Matt Vengrin. Collopy won a few pots shortly after that to take the chip lead that he would never relinquish. Vengrin would be the next to fall, dropping to Tyler Brown in a hand of Big O when Brown rivered trips against a short-stacked Vengrin.
Collopy continued his reign of terror when he eliminated Maxx Coleman in fourth place. Collopy called Coleman's all-in on a queen high flop to put him at risk in a hand of PLO. Both players were holding ace-high though and Coleman bricked his straight and flush draws to hit the rail.
Dylan Weisman had quite possibly the most exciting elimination of the day when he fell in third place. Weisman and Collopy got the money in before the flop with Weisman holding double-suited aces and Collopy holding kings in a pot of PLO8. The flop brough Collopy a set of kings, but the turn brough Weisman a set of aces. The river was the case king though, giving Collopy the one outer he needed to scoop the pot and that would be the end of Weisman.
Brown and Collopy then agreed to only play PLO for the remainder of the tournament and it wouldn't be long before Collopy was hoisting the trophy. In the final hand, Collopy and Brown were all in on an ace-high flop, but Collopy held the better kicker and his would stay best through the turn and river to earn him the win.

The cash is Collopy's third of the series, with his first two coming in Event #1 and Event #5. The win adds to Collopy's already impressive resume and pushes him past $4,500,000 in lifetime live tournament earnings according to The Hendon Mob. The 206 PGT Points Collopy collected for his win put him in 3rd place on the series leaderboard and push him into the top 40 on the overall PGT Leaderboard which will determine who will qualify for the end-of-year PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll.
Sean Troha retook lead on the PGT PLO Series leadboard with the 26 points he earned for 11th place in the event, while Tyler Brown moved into 7th place with his runner up finish.
