Brandon Wilson Leads 2023 U.S. Poker Open Event #3 Final Table

The 2023 U.S. Poker Open rolled on from the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and players flocked to the felt for Event #3: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em.

Brandon Wilson holds the chip lead heading into the final day with 4,510,000, good for more than 38% of the chips in play. He sits ahead of Sam Soverel, Chris Brewer, Daniel Colpoys, Nacho Barbero, and Kristen Foxen who will all return on Monday, March 27, at 12 p.m. PT to play out Event #3 on the PokerGO live stream that will air at 1 p.m. PT.

"The Year of Nacho" also rolls on, as Nacho Barbero has made the final table in all three USPO events thus far. Colpoys and Soverel cashed for a second consecutive day, while the other players at the final table each picked up their first cash of the series. 

The 93-entrant field created a prize pool of $930,000 and the top 14 players would finish in the money. As the bubble neared, Daniel Negreanu was eliminated when his pocket jacks couldn't hold against queen-six and Darren Elias was the next to go before it would take about an hour for the bubble to burst. Eventually, it would be Robert Chorlian to burst the bubble when he was forced all-in from the big blind and failed to improve to the best hand.

Martin Zamani (14th), Alex Foxen (13th), Phil Hellmuth (12th), Steve Zolotow (11th), Joey Weissman (10th), and Erik Seidel (9th) were all eliminated prior to reaching the final table of eight. Calvin Lee would fall in eighth place when his jacks ran into queens, and Aram Oganyan exited in seventh place when his suited ace-eight couldn't get there against nines. The remaining six players played out the level before they bagged and tagged to return for the streamed final table.

When play resumes, the button will be on Nacho Barbero. There is 40:00 remaining in Level 16 with blinds at 25,000 / 50,000 and a 50,000-big blind ante.

The final six players have all locked up $55,800 in prize money, but all eyes remain on the grand prize of $213,900 in prize money, 214 PGT points, and the mini Golden Eagle trophy which will soar them up the U.S. Poker Open leaderboard. 

Players will have a day off before play resumes on Monday at 12 p.m. PT for the Event #3: 10,000 No-Limit Hold’em final table from the 2023 U.S. Poker Open. The entire final table will be streamed exclusively on PokerGO.com starting at 1 p.m. PT with the third champion of the series to be crowned.
