For Kevin Hart, being the center of attention is nothing new. The world-famous actor and comedian has starred in dozens of Hollywood blockbusters, headlined a handful of top-selling comedy tours and is one of the world’s most recognizable personalities.

So far, through a day and a half of Super High Roller Bowl action, Hart has been the center of attention on the Feature Table and so far, he has done more than hold his own against the world’s best. Hart eliminated Phil Hellmuth yesterday and returned for Day 2 near the middle of the pack but how does competing in the world’s biggest poker tournament compare to his life on set and on stage?

“They are two different spectrums and of course, live entertainment, nothing will surpass that for me because that is where my heart is and that is where my love is.” Hart said earlier, before adding, “But as a hobby, there is a heavy amount of love for the game of poker.”

While poker may just be a hobby for Hart, it is clearly something he takes very seriously.

“At the end of the day, when you make moves, when you make calls and pick people off, it is a great feeling. You can stick your chest out a little bit.” Hart said.

Hart has had every right to stick his chest out over the last two days. He has outlasted some of the world’s most feared players through the midway point of Day 2, but he also realizes that the job is anything but complete.

“When all those chips get in the pot, and this could be it, that is where the adrenaline comes in. Hopefully, it is nothing but good adrenalin today. ‘Operation: Get Out of Day 2’ is in session.” Hart said before play began earlier today.

Operation: Get Out of Day 2 is going well so far but win, lose or draw today, Hart sees poker as a way to not only connect but also come together.

“Poker is a community sport and it is a way to bring people together. I want the world to understand why this is an amazing game.” Hart said, while also adding that the same can be said about every level of poker.

“Everything isn’t this intense,” Hart said when referencing the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl before explaining, “This is a family game, this is a friend game, a game you can play in school, college, wherever. It is a game that can be played on so many different levels and everyone should know about it.”
