Major Wager: Joey Ingram Raises the (Trapeze) Bar

The first episode of Major Wager hosted by Joey Ingram launched on PokerGO Tuesday, September 5 and featuring Daniel Negreanu and Samantha Abernathy taking their rivalry to a literal new level. Ingram’s reality show pits poker’s largest personalities prop betting against each other with dignity and pride on the line with Las Vegas as the backdrop.

Ingram invited Negreanu and Abernathy to Studio Trapeze Las Vegas to face-off against each other and gravity in a head-to-head aerial artistry competition. Negreanu went for the birdcage for his aerial display, while Abernathy opted for a spinning globe.

Each player’s coaching session could best be described as heart and determination versus beauty and grace – it’s up to the viewers as to which was which. The punishment was to hand-wash a pile of sweaty gym clothes.

Abernathy was first up for the panel of judges and could be described as poetry in motion. But then Negreanu took to the stage with signature prancing, some grunting and a sigh of relief after dismounted.
