Poker Central knows you only need one reason to check out next week’s “High Stakes Hybrid” week, because Poker After Dark is back, but each week, we’re going to go above and beyond that minimum requirement. In no particular order, four reasons why you’ll be watching PokerGO next week…

First and foremost, as mentioned above, Poker After Dark is back. After a week of Poker Masters action and a World Poker Tour final table, “PLOMG” week kept the PokerGO train moving. While some new original content and classics hit PokerGO this week, fans have had to wait a few days to get their live poker fix.

That wait is almost over and after last week’s four-card action debuted a new game since Poker After Dark rebooted, a new format will drive headlines next week. The $100,000 cash buy-in hybrid format will combine the excitement from both cash games and tournaments, with increasing blinds forcing the No Limit Hold’em action.

Formats and structures are one thing, but the world’s biggest names are another. While the hybrid format will be new to Poker After Dark, Doug Polk knows his way around the ARIA set. Polk battled during “Rumble with Jungle” week and returns to headline all three “High Stakes Hybrid” sessions, that also includes some high stakes players from the business world with tons of experience.

Since Poker After Dark rebooted in August, a handful of non-pros have joined the action. While Lauren Roberts, Dan Shak, Brandon Steven, and Mike Baxter ply their trade in the business world, they all have experience at the highest levels of poker. Roberts is a regular in some of Las Vegas’ biggest games and battled on “The Return of Tom Dwan” week, while Baxter appeared on past seasons of High Stakes Poker and makes his Poker After Dark debut alongside Shak and Steven, who have High Roller tournament results and victories from around the world.

Poker After Dark is returning with a brand-new format and players with high stakes experience from both on and off the felt will be competing in the first ever $100,000 hybrid cash game. What else do you need to tune in to next week’s “High Stakes Hybrid” sessions? Just a PokerGO subscription, but since we know you already have that, you’re all set for Tuesday’s action.
