Chino Rheem's hot PGT stretch continued on Saturday at the PokerGO Studio when he won PGT Mixed Games II Event #2: $10,200 Big Bet Mix for $171,000. Rheem topped a tough field of 57 entries to get the win and has had quite the run of results in the last three weeks in Las Vegas.

For Rheem, this latest run marked his fifth consecutive final table in a row for events he's played in at the PokerGO Studio. It's his second win and seventh final table at the PokerGO Studio going back to his win in Event #4: $10,000 NL Hold'em at the 2023 Poker Masters. The result also pushed Rheem into the top 40 of the PGT leaderboard.

"Anytime you make a final table, it’s always a good feeling, but after you bust you’re a little disappointed," Rheem said of finally getting back into the winner's circle after his recent string of final tables coming up short. "In my entire career, this is the sickest little heater I’ve ever been on for 20 years of playing poker. I’m just riding it, just trying to stay humble, stay present, appreciate everything, be grateful for everything, and just see what happens."

Rheem came into the final day of play second in chips, but things were closely contested. Rheem busted Adam Friedman in sixth place, Ben Yu in fifth place, and Stephen Chidwick in third place on his way to getting heads up with Andres Korn. PGT Mixed Games II Series Leaderboard Top 10

To go along with his win, Rheem has a fourth-place finish in Event #1: $10,200 H.O.R.S.E. at PGT Mixed Games II. The results have him at the top of the series leaderboard and make him the frontrunner to win the series title and $25,000 championship bonus.

"Let’s just keep it real, it’s a really nice feeling," Rheem said of being atop the series leaderboard. "I’m obviously trying to play much better and running really, really good here in this studio. I love playing in the studio. Things are going really well, and I’ll take it."

Speaking of the PGT leaderboard, the addition of 171 points for winning Event #2 at PGT MIxed Games II pushed Rheem into the top 40 of the 2023 PGT leaderboard. That's important because the top 40 of the PGT leaderboard qualify for the season-ending PGT Championship that has a $1,000,000 freeroll.

"I just hope to qualify for it by the end of the year, obviously," Rheem said. "I’m just happy to be in the top 40 right now and hopefully things just keep going well."

During the second half of the 2023 PGT season, Rheem won $602,650 during the 2023 Poker Masters and has already tallied $243,000 from the start of the 2023 PGT MIxed Games II series. This PGT season, Rheem is up to two wins, 10 cashes, and $954,193 in winnings.
