Adam Friedman Makes a Late Surge to Bag the Chip Lead in PGT Mixed Games Event #4: $10,300 Big Bet Mix

PGT Mixed Games Event #4: $10,300 Big Bet Mix has reached the final six players and leading them is Adam Friedman who made a late surge to snatch the chip lead in the final level of play. 

Friedman finished the day with 2,905,000 and much of that came from a hand against Ben Lamb. Just after reaching the final table, Friedman raised with queens from late position. In the blinds, Lamb three-bet with eights. Friedman moved all in for nearly 1.5M and Lamb called, creating the biggest pot of the tournament to that point. Friedman's queens held and he vaulted into the chip lead. 

Lamb survived though and will return with 995,000. The two are joined by Ben Yu (2,255,000), Sam Soverel (1,405,000), Maxx Coleman (2,220,000), and Craig Chait (565,000). Chait makes his second final table of the series, after finishing fourth in PGT Mixed Games Event #2: $10,300 8-Game. 

Each of the final six is currently guaranteed at least $41,400 but they are all gunning for the first place prize of $186,300 and the 186 PGT points that will be used to determine the PGT Mixed Games champion. The PGT Mixed Games champion will receive the PGT Trophy and a $25,000 championship bonus. PGT points will also be used for the year-long leaderboard which will qualify players to the end-of-year PGT Championship $1,000,000 freeroll. 

The Big Bet Mix drew out a total of 69 entries, and of them, 10 made it into the money. Joshua Ladines would be the Event #4 bubble boy when he ran into the pat-seven of Ben Lamb in a hand of No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw. Lamb raised, Ladines three bet, and Lamb moved all in. Ladines called and was dismayed to see the news when both players stood pat and Lamb showed him the goods. 

Making it into the money in the event were Dan Cates (10th - $20,700), Johannes Becker (9th - $27,600) and Dan Zack (8th - $27,600). Brian Rast would be the final elimination of the night when he ran into Ben Yu's pat-eight in a hand of No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw. Rast was left with just 20,000 after the hand and would be eliminated just a few hands later. For his 7th-place finish, Rast received $34,500. Players played out the rest of the No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw round before bagging and tagging for the night.

When play resumes the button is on Ben Yu and action will start with 17:50 left in Level 16 with blinds at 25,000/50,000 and an ante of 50,000. Players will start with six hands of Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo.
