Lautaro Guerra topped an 83-entry field to win Event #8: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, the premier event of the inaugural PGT PLO Series at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, NV

This marks the third victory in four days for the Spanish player as he also won Event #5 and Event #7. This score was the largest of Guerra's career according to TheHendonMob.com, and he now has nearly $1.5 million in live tournament earnings.

The 83-entry field generated a prize pool of $2,075,000. The field size was record-setting as it became the largest owned-and-operated $25,000 buy-in PGT event. There were 16 players who returned for the final day but only 12 would make it into the money. Adam Hendrix, Yuval Bronshtein, Michael Kamram, and Jordan Spurlin fell short of the money. Spurlin was eliminated on the money bubble when he had gotten the rest of his chips in on the river with the second nuts, but it was no good against Ren Lin's nuts.

George Wolff (12th - $41,500), Joao Simao (11th - $62,250), and Jeremy Ausmus (10th - $62,250) all fell shortly after. Maxx Coleman (9th - $83,000) and Johann Ibanez Diaz (8th - $83,000) were the next to go before the remaining players converged on the final table.

Josh Arieh (7th - $103,750) was second in chips coming into the final table, but that quickly changed as Guerra won a big pot off him to move into the chip lead and Arieh was soon eliminated. Nacho Barbero (6th - $124,500) was in contention for the series title coming into the final day, but with his elimination, Guerra locked up the series title and he wasn't done just yet.

It took nearly four hours until the next elimination before Jim Collopy (5th - $166,000) was the next to go, and Chris Lee (4th - $207,500) was the next casualty when he fell to Guerra's turned flush. Guerra had a slight lead at the beginning of three-handed play and it wasn't long until Bulgaria's Krasimir Yankov (3rd - $269,750) was gone in third when he lost his remaining short stack as Ren Lin made a better pair on the river.

Lin had a bit more than double Guerra's stack when heads-up play began. Chips were exchanged between the two players before Guerra secured a double when his two pair held against Lin's straight draw. Guerra scored another double shortly after to move into the lead and continued to accumulate chips. Eventually, Lin bet pot on the river with the third nuts, and Guerra raised all in. Lin suspected Guerra had rivered the nuts before he reluctantly called, and Guerra indeed tabled the nuts to claim the pot for the win.
