The Texas Poker Open continued at Champions Club in Houston, Texas, with the High Roller Event #8: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha.

The impromptu turbo Texas Poker Open High Roller Event #8: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha was added due to player requests and attracted a total of 38 entrants to create a prize pool of $190,000. The final six players finished in the money, and David Mzareulov claimed the $68,400 first-place prize, 68 PGT points, and the Texas Poker Open Belt Buckle trophy.

Following Jake White's elimination on the money bubble, James Mendoza exited in sixth followed by Ashly Butler in fifth, and Tyler Brown in fourth. Daniel Holmes got most of his short stack in preflop against Mzareulov, and the rest went in on a flop. Holmes held against Mzareulov's , and when the turn and river gave Mzareulov trips, Holmes was eliminated in third place.

Mzareulov held roughly 70% of the chips in play when heads-up play began, and it wasn't long before Harry Cullen got the rest of his chips in on a board. Cullen held , and he would be eliminated as runner-up as Mzareulov showed for a full house to win the tournament.

This is Mzareulov's first PGT title, sixth-biggest cash, and his lifetime tournament earnings now surpass $1,850,000, according to The Hendon Mob.
