Justin Bonomo wins Super High Roller Bowl 2018 for $5,000,000

Justin Bonomo Wins the 2018 Super High Roller Bowl!

The finale of the Super High Roller Bowl wrapped on PokerGO with a masterful display of poker. Six world champions returned to the PokerGO Studio to play down to a winner in front of a live stream audience. The $5 million first-place prize and eternal glory of winning Super High Roller Bowl sat in front of the final tablists as they played down to a winner.

All-in action started right off the bat. Nick Petrangelo opened the final table fifth out of six but finished one spot below that mark. Petrangelo was unlucky against Jason Koon and left the final table to collect his $900,000 consolation prize.

Christoph Vogelsang’s bid at consecutive Super High Roller Bowl titles fell off the rails before getting on track. A short-stacked Vogelsang limped along as best as he could and squeezed out a fifth-place result.

Daniel Negreanu was the primary storyline heading into the final table. The INSIDERS star entered play with a prime chance to capture one of the most exclusive titles in the world and add to his sterling legacy. Negreanu took the chip lead right off the bat at the final table thanks to a river call versus Mikita Badziakouski.

Jason Koon took his turn on top a short while later. Badziakouski started the final table as chip leader but found the terrain to be rough on this day. Negreanu took chips from Badziakouski and then Koon relieved Negreanu of his new found winnings with some river value.

The last change of the chip lead went to Bonomo. Koon looked as though has on his way to the winner’s circle but Bonomo stopped him right in his tracks. Bonomo grabbed the lead and never went back.

A game Negreanu fought to win the title against Bonomo but came up shy like others before him. Bonomo caught his fair share of cards during the event and won with top set to lock up the title.
