The wait is officially over. After months of waiting and a few previous announcements, the entire 2017 World Series of Poker schedule has been released. Doors open at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on May 30th and will remain open through July 17th, with 74 official WSOP gold bracelet events being contested over the 50-day series.

This year, eight new events have been added to the schedule.

They include a $10,000 Tag Team No-Limit Hold’em event, with last year’s $1,000 version of the event remaining on the schedule.

A $333 WSOP.com No-Limit Hold’em online event has also been added but that isn’t the only small buy-in event on the schedule.

There is also a $365 “The Giant” No-Limit Hold’em event, with weekly Friday night flights. Each flight will play deep into the money and any remaining players will be paid out, bag their chips and then return for a cumulative Day 2 restart later in the summer. “The Giant” is also an unlimited re-entry event during each Day 1 flight.

The $2,620 “The Marathon” is a new five-day event with 100 minute levels and there is also a new $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty that will play 20-minute levels and boast a $300 bounty for each player.

For the first time, Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Split 8 or Better players will get a $10,000 Championship event and there is a $2,500 Mixed Big Bet Event, incorporating NLHE, PLO, 2-7NL, NL 5 Card Draw, Big O, PLO Hi-LO and 2-7 Pot-Limit Triple Draw.

The last of the new events to the 2017 schedule is another online bracelet event. A $3,333 High Roller WSOP.com No-Limit Hold’em is the biggest online bracelet event that the WSOP has ever run.

“This 2017 schedule reflects our continuing goal to broaden poker’s appeal and encourage first timers and recreational players to come experience the WSOP for themselves,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart through a press release.  “With the new $365 buy-in Giant anchoring Friday nights, alongside a tent pole event awarding millions every weekend, we believe we have the offering to be well worth the trip.  Plus, for the serious and high-stakes player, we remain committed to having the most diverse schedule of events of any tournament in the world.  Whatever your game or bankroll, let the bracelet chase begin.”

This is by far the most inclusive schedule in the history of the illustrious series but the WSOP will continue to offer high-buy-in mixed games, which are rarely spread at other tournament stops around the world. In total, 10 poker variants beyond No-Limit Hold’em will see $10,000 “Championship” bracelet events contested throughout the summer.

To appeal to the other end of the market, the WSOP is introducing the $300 prize point for the first time ever. This comes two years after introducing the $500 prize point Colossus. This year, Colossus III will boast an $8,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and first place will again be guaranteed one million dollars.

Last year, the WSOP set an all-time record for attendance and awarded over $221 million in prize money. 48 events had prize pools of at least $1 million, 25 events reached more than $2 million and a dozen events reached $3 million or more. With these new additions and a schedule that will certainly appeal to everyone, the 2017 WSOP will likely again continue to break records.
