Each day, “World Series of Photos” will tell the daily stories from the Rio, so you don’t miss any of the sights of the WSOP.

Event #12 – $1,500 No Limit Hold’em

Another busy day at the World Series of Poker means more bracelets and David ‘Dragon’ Pham claimed his third at a diverse Event #12 final table. With his first two WSOP victories coming in 2001 and 2006, Pham proved his staying power in the poker world, not only by winning another bracelet but by also outlasting a tough field that included India’s Aditya Agarwal and online crusher Jordan Young, whom Pham beat heads up.

Event #13 – $1,500 No Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw

Frank Kassela also proved his own staying power at the Event #13 final table. The 2010 WSOP Player of the Year, he won two bracelets that summer, battled long and hard against Bernard Lee but finally broke through to win his third-career bracelet. That third victory has been a long time coming, as Kassela has come close year-after-year since claiming POY honors.

Event #14 – $1,500 HORSE

Could we have back-to-back days where established players claim their third WSOP bracelets? Brandon Shack-Harris is going to try, as he returns for Day 3 of Event #14. Shack-Harris is outside the top ten though, with 18 remaining, meaning he’ll have to spin it up to make the final table, along with four-time bracelet winner Max Pescatori, who is also in the mix.

Event #16 – $1,500 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed

A chip and a chair. Well, in Jared Jacobsmeyer’s case, two chips and a chair. Jacobsmeyer, pictured top, recorded the first WSOP cash of his career last night, albeit on fumes and then bagged 200 chips for Day 2. While is prospects of winning Event #16 are likely zero, you can’t knock recording your first WSOP score and there are plenty of big names to follow as that event thins the field today.
