Throughout the summer, PokerGO will bring fans across the globe exclusive access to World Series of Poker final table streams and Poker Central will be following all the WSOP action. Each day, “World Series of Photos” will tell the daily stories from the Rio, so you don’t miss any of the sights of the WSOP.

Event #20 – $1,500 Millionaire Maker

When the Millionaire Maker debuted at the World Series of Poker in 2013, it was one of the biggest non-Main Event WSOP events ever and Jonathan Gray navigated the over 6,300-player field to notch podium finish and a $534,000 score. Gray is now still alive in the 2017 version of the event, wearing the same hoodie he wore four years ago, and has navigated his way to the final table, which is currently streaming exclusively on PokerGO.

Event #22 – $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship

The trend of players adding to their bracelet collections continued in Event #22, as John Monnette claimed gold for a third time yesterday. The formerly “angry” Monnette hasn’t changed his ways on the felt, he’s still one of the best poker players on the planet, but he has away from the table, thanks to his wife Diana Cox-Monnette. The two celebrated the win together yesterday and no one would be surprised to see more of the couple in the winner’s circle over the next few years.

Event #23 – $2,620 THE MARATHON

The event some are calling the Mini Main Event, because of an extremely slow structure, isn’t anywhere close to crowning a champion but the top of the Day 3 leader is stacked. Bracelet winners like Adrian Mateos might catch the eye of fans but the main atop that leader board heading into moving day is one of the most consistent players on the WSOP Circuit. Maurice Hawkins, pictured top, has conquered everything on that tour and after predicting that this was his year at the WSOP, he is backing it up in THE MARATHON.

Event #25 – $1,000 Pot Limit Omaha

Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi is another player near the top of the leader board but he isn’t looking to breakthrough at the WSOP. Mizrachi has already done that, multiple times, but it has been a while since he claimed WSOP gold. His last bracelet came in 2012, when he won the $50,000 Poker Players Championship for the second time, and if Mizrachi does close out Event #25, that could mean a lot of momentum heading into some bigger Championship events throughout the rest of the summer.
