PokerGO will be streaming final tables throughout Season XVI of the World Poker Tour, giving fans from around the world the opportunity to watch the world’s leading poker players compete for prestigious WPT titles. Final tables from around North America will add to PokerGO’s live events library, with replays of events available on-demand. “World Photos Tour” will also recap the action, giving fans a front row seat to the WPT action.

The main attraction of Thursday’s final table was, with all due respect to the rest of the lineup, Phil Hellmuth. The 14-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, pictured top, has passed nearly every test the poker world has thrown at him over the course of his career, except tests proctored by the World Poker Tour. Hellmuth has never won a WPT title and after coming into the final table near the middle of the pack, The Poker Brat’s stack roller coastered to a runner-up finish. At a point, it looked like Hellmuth was in a position to finally break his WPT curse but he’ll now have to look for another chance at a World Poker Tour Champions Cup.

From a man looking for his first WPT title, to a man that has already hoisted the Champions Cup twice before. JC Tran is one of the most decorated tournament poker players on the planet, with WSOP and WPT success and millions of dollars in career earnings. Tran had a chance to become the seventh player to ever win three WPT titles, a group that includes Gus Hansen, Anthony Zinno and Darren Elias, to name a few. Tran will have to wait to join that fraternity and we say wait, because with a career resume like Tran’s, he will certainly have a few more shots at a WPT triple.

Phil Hellmuth made WPT headlines well before his Legends of Poker final table appearance. That’s because Hellmuth replaced Tony Dunst as the WPT’s Raw Deal Analyst, after Dunst replaced long-time WPT commentator Mike Sexton in the commentary booth. Dunst joins Vince Van Patten full-time, after some fill-in performances over the last few years, and part of me wants Dunst to final table a WPT event in the near future, just to see what Hellmuth can do in the booth.

Sure, there were big names at the WPT Legends of Poker final table, which was streamed live on PokerGO, but there was also big news at The Bicycle Casino & Hotel well before that final table came together. When the Main Event played into the money on Day 3, the WPT awarded their one-billionth prize dollar, something that is a testament to the longevity and size of the 15-year-old tour.

Relive the WPT Legends of Poker final table on PokerGO and stay tuned for more WPT events hitting PokerGO over the next few months.
