The ARIA High Rollers returned this weekend and while the focus was split between the action and Super High Roller Bowl registration during the last series, this time the focus strictly on the felt. Three High Roller events played out, with some of the game’s best young players all navigating their way to the winner’s circle.

The first $25K High Roller of the weekend had a much different look than February’s events, with players from across the globe flying from the L.A. Poker Classic to Las Vegas to compete. Germany was well represented, just like they will be during this summer’s Super High Roller Bowl, and they made their presence felt early and often.

While Jake Schindler claimed the first win of the weekend, Germany’s Claas Segebrecht finished 2nd to get the German’s on the scoresheet. Bryn Kenney and Erik Seidel each cashed, with Zach Hyman getting picking up the first score of the weekend for non-professionals.

In the second $25K High Roller of the weekend, America kept the trophy. Daniel Colman, who was fresh off a Triton Super High Roller Series victory, recorded another win. This time, it was Spain’s turn to finish as the runner-up, as Adrian Mateos took silver. Kenney and Seidel both cashed again, meaning the only member of the “Big Three” that missed the money was Daniel Negreanu.

The stakes were raised on Saturday, when a $50K Super High Roller took center stage. After a near miss earlier in the weekend, Germany guaranteed themselves a win in the biggest event of the series, thanks to a heads up battle between Rainer Kempe and Jans Schwippert. Kempe came out on top, returning himself to the ARIA winner’s circle and with his 4th place finish, Cary Katz moved into a tie at the top of the ARIA Career Cashes list with Tom Marchese, as each have 22 career ARIA results.

The ARIA High Rollers will return later this month and Poker Central will be there again to bring you all the action. For more insight and information on the ARIA High Rollers, keep an eye out for this week’s edition of the Poker Central Podcast.
