We don’t know how, we don’t know why, and we don’t really know when, but over the last year, vlogs have been all the craze in the poker world. Each week, Poker Central’s “What the Vlog?” series will break down our favorite vlog of the week and if you want more video content, don’t forget to check out our “Don’t Look Now” series, which keeps poker fans up to speed on everything poker and video.

Last week, the fourth American Poker Awards honored some of the biggest brands and names in the poker world. Poker Central and the World Poker Tour led from a brand perspective, but the biggest individual winner of the night was Andrew Neeme. The YouTube sensation picked up the award for Video Blogger of the Year and garnered the most votes in the People’s Choice Award category, which was decided by a fan vote.

To win Video Blogger of the Year, Neeme beat out some of poker’s biggest names, including Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk. For some, that victory was an upset, but as the Poker Central Podcast discussed, Neeme has dominated YouTube for the last year.

While Negreanu and Polk have each dabbled in different vlog-style content, most notably Negreanu’s WSOP vlogs, Neeme defined the vlog space and was arguably the most consistent vlogger of 2017. The Las Vegas-based cash game professional primarily streams and vlogs his “Sin City” sessions, but more recently, Neeme has taken his show on the road. He was recently in Europe for a partypoker LIVE series and Neeme has also vlogged at casinos and tournament series across the United States.

To follow Neeme’s vlogs, subscribe to his YouTube channel, and be on the look out for more What the Vlog? content from Poker Central.
