While the official dates of the 2017 World Series of Poker were announced prior to the start of the year, that press release didn’t get into the meat and potatoes of the schedule. An official and complete schedule still hasn’t been publicized but this afternoon, the signature weekend events have been announced.

“With just six weekends available to start new events this year, the WSOP has strategically built the 2017 schedule to place signature events on the weekend, with juicy prize pools and popular tournaments planned to ensure poker enthusiasts with a great time and an opportunity to win big.”

The opportunity to “win big” is certainly there throughout the entire WSOP but even more so during the action packed weekends that usually include smaller buy-in, big field, big prize pool events. Those events, and dates, are as follows:

June 2, 3, 4 $565 Colossus III – two starting flights a day for three consecutive days
June 10, 11$1,500 Millionaire Maker – one starting flight each day
June 16, 18$1,000 Seniors & Super Seniors
June 24, 25$1,500 Monster Stack
July 1, 2$888 Crazy Eights – two staring flights a day for two consecutive days
July 8, 9, 10$10,000 Main Event – one starting flight a day for three consecutive days

The WSOP also announced that the Little One for One Drop charity poker tournament will return in 2017, again falling on the schedule as a post-Main Event special. The Little One for One Drop will feature a $1,000 buy-in, with a $111 add on for charity to double your starting chip stack. The event will see three starting flights run on consecutive days from July 11 to July 13.

The WSOP will officially open its doors on May 30th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The something-for-everyone schedule includes gold bracelet events, satellites, cash games and a quartet of daily deep stack tournaments running for 49 consecutive days. More information on the WSOP can be found on their website and a complete 2017 schedule should be released sometime in February.
