Pantaleo and Luther Tag Their Way into a Bracelet

Nikita Luther became the first women to win an open event at the 2018 World Series of Poker after taking down the $1,000 Tag Team No Limit Hold’em tournament with her teammate Giuseppe Pantaleo. The duo took home $175,805 after beating 1,032 teams in one of the most exciting final tables of the summer. With a big rail – mostly made up of teammates – Pantaleo played his way to victory after defeating the team of Kazuki Ikeuchi, Hiroki Iwata, and Sho Mori heads-up.

The $1,000 No Limit Hold’em Super Turbo Bounty did exactly what the name suggested, as a fast and furious pace saw Mike Takayama from the Philippines lock up a bracelet for himself and his home country along with a $198,568 first prize.

A total of 2,065 players boiled down to a winner in a matter of hours, as a plethora of notables took their shots with bracelet winners Jeff Madsen, Chris Ferguson,  Erik Cajelais, Greg Raymer, Christian Pham and Shaun Deeb managed to make the money. The payouts of the final table are as follows.
