Haxton, who had his breakout score at the 2007 PCA where he finished second for $861,000, knocked out Bonomo in the process who finished in eleventh place. This was the first time the two youngsters met, and as their friendship grew, so did their bankrolls and reputations in the game.

Flash forward more than a decade later, and Bonomo sits atop the all-time money list with a staggering $43 million in career earnings while Haxton has nearly $20 million on his live tournament resume.
