Forget the Twelve Days of Christmas, PokerGO has three days of “Holidays with Hellmuth” coming to Poker After Dark this week. The first of those “Poker Brat” headlined sessions is streaming live on PokerGO, as the opening “Holidays with Hellmuth” $10,000 sit and go is officially underway.
While Phil Hellmuth leads the lineup, the 14-time WSOP bracelet winner is joined by some of poker’s biggest names. Antonio Esfandiari and Mike “The Mouth” Matusow return to Poker After Dark, along with Dan Shak, while Maria Ho makes her Poker After Dark debut.
Hollywood producer Randall Emmett rounds out the personality-filled lineup and will look to compete for another Poker After Dark title, after he finished runner-up to Liv Boeree during the final $25,000 “Voices Carry” sit and go.
Tonight’s $10,000 sit and go will have a slightly different structure than those “Voices Carry” sessions, as players will have the option to rebuy during “Holidays with Hellmuth” week. One re-buy can be used by each player when they bust, which could and should double the total prize pool for the opening sit and go.
Another change will see both 1st and 2nd place finishers finish in the money, as opposed to the winner-take-all structures that are usually employed on Poker After Dark. That could mean more action and should lead to some more tactical play after the first few players are eliminated from the “Holidays with Hellmuth” opening sit and go.
Regardless of how those changes affect the action during tonight’s $10,000 event, they won’t affect the personalities that will be featured during “Holidays with Hellmuth” week. Tonight’s lineup is chalk full of entertaining and exciting players and you can watch Hellmuth, Esfandiari, Ho, and more live on PokerGO now.
