Day 2 of the World Series of Poker $111,111 High Roller for One Drop returned 79 players, plus picked up a handful of players with late registration. It’s also the first chance Super High Roller Bowl commentator and two-time bracelet winner Nick Schulman has had to play cards.

Schulman was more-or-less trapped in the basement of the ARIA for five days in a sequestered room, while following every hand of play for the SHR Bowl stream. Switching gears from commentary to playing was something Schulman was looking forward to doing.

“Well, it’s a pretty natural transition,” he said. “I’ve been watching these top players and seeing every hand. It really gave me that the itch to get out and play after watching. It feels great to be playing, I’m having a lot of fun.”

While Schulman couldn’t wait to get out and play, there was an overwhelming response from the poker community on Schulman’s commentary.

“I didn’t see too much, I heard some nice things and I really appreciate it. You can’t please all the people, all the time. I just do my best and you know it’s touching to hear all the nice responses – I don’t know about people wrapping themselves up in my voice – I mean, hey.”

Schulman has his eyes set on the final table and is in the zone. “I’ve been rested and sleeping well. I got on the Super High Roller Bowl schedule for the commentary,” said Schulman. “I feel ready to go.”

Day 2 through the end of the event all of the action is available exclusively on PokerGO.
