The World Series of Poker $5,000 Six Max No Limit Hold’em event drew 574 players that built a $2.6 million prize pool. The final six players returned on Wednesday, playing out the final table live exclusively on PokerGO and Nadar Kakhmazov and won his first bracelet for $580,338 in just his third WSOP cash.

“I am very happy – I have wanted to do this for three years but every time I lose two big pots deep in the tournament,” Kakhmazov said. “I try all the time to play better and better – it’s great for Russian poker.”

Kakhmazov just came off a big win at the Venetian MSPT Main Event for $440,029 – totaling $1.02 million inside a week. A suddenly flush bankroll has him committed to play the $10,000 Six Max No Limit Hold’em Championship, the $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha High Roller and the Main Event.

“I have played other events but had not won much for prizes,” he said. “But now, it’s a good year.”

Chris Hunichen finished runner-up after two dozen hands of heads-up play. He doubled up once but his final hand came when they both paired a queen on the flop. Kakhmazov had Qh 7h, Hunichen held Qc 2c and after the board ran out the kicker played and Hunichen was eliminated.

Faraz Jaka entered the final table with the chip lead but things went wrong for him from the start. He flamed out in fifth place after shoving under the gun with ace nine and Kenny Hallaert called with ace king, caught a king and sent Jaka to the cashier’s cage.

The entire final table is available in its entirety on PokerGO, along with all of the other WSOP streams from this year.
