Facts and figures. They make the world go around and, more often than not, tell a story without letting opinions or biases get in the way. Which numbers from the past week tell that story and what quick opinions do we have?

1,949 – Over the last few years, the World Series of Poker Circuit has made their way to new parts of the United States and have added multiple international stops to their tournament schedule. Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was the most recent addition to the WSOP Circuit schedule and over the last week, numbers there have not disappointed. Just under 1,300 players came out for their opening event and the WSOP Circuit Main Event drew 677 runners and got just over $1,000,000 in the prize pool.

$1,179,520 CAD – While the above prize pool number is in Canadian Dollars, we’ll still count that as another seven-figure prize pool for the World Poker Tour. 380 players made the trip to Montreal’s Playground Poker Club this past weekend and as of Monday morning, 24 players are still alive. There will be no back-to-back for the WPT’s Mike Sexton but three-time WPT champion Anthony Zinno is still in contention.

61,641 – Poker Central Ambassador Daniel Negreanu is the most recent poker player to use YouTube to grow their fan base and brand. The difference between Negreanu and the others that have come before him, he’s Daniel Negreanu, the biggest name in poker. While his first video, used to describe what the channel will be about and to lay out a schedule, dropped a week ago, Negreanu’s uploads since are already making waves, including a fully immersive vlog from last weekend’s ARIA High Roller events that have over 60,000 views in just a few days.

99 – While the word “dynasty” has been thrown around to describe the New England Patriots and their success over the last 15 years, nothing in the sports world compares to what the University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball team has been able to accomplish. They won their 99th consecutive game this past weekend and go for 100 victories on Monday night. Maybe even more impressive, through those 99 wins, 97 of them have been by double digits.

1,320 – Last week, KFC launced the Chizza and I made the claim that, combined with Taco Bell’s Naked Chicken Chalupa, it was the greatest edible innovation since sliced bread. While the Chizza is not yet offered in America, I went back for Naked Chicken Chalupa seconds this weekend. Strictly for investigative purposes, I ate three of them for lunch yesterday. Each Chalupa is 440 calories. I need to go to the gym.
