Facts and figures. They make the world go around and, more often than not, tell a story without letting opinions or biases get in the way. Which numbers from the past week tell that story and what quick opinions do we have?

1,132 – The last week was one of the busiest in PokerGO’s history, with eight days of Poker Masters action and the second PokerGO live streamed World Poker Tour final table. Since that WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship final table was the most recent to hit PokerGO, we’ll open our week-long recap with the massive $3 million guaranteed event. That guarantee was eventually left in the dust though, as a 1,132-player field built up a $3.6 million prize pool, with the lion’s share of that total going to the newest WPT Champions Club member Guo Liang Chen.

$2,733,000 – Chen took home just shy of $790,000 for his WPT BPO Championship victory, but he wasn’t the biggest PokerGO winner from the last week. Steffen Sontheimer dominated Poker Masters and cashed for a mind-numbing $2.7 million through the five-event high stakes series. That was likely his most impressive figure from the week, but his five final table finishes, four cashes, and two wins can’t be ignored either.

3,440.32 – Sontheimer’s tremendous Poker Masters series also launched him into the GPI Player of the Year top-20. That’s an over 100-place jump from where he was prior to the five-event series, but when you start the series on top, like Bryn Kenney did, no movement is good movement. The New Yorker remained the #1 ranked player in the world, while also extending his lead at the top of the standings, meaning he is in the driver’s seat heading towards the last few months of 2017.

50 – While Sontheimer and Kenney were two of the biggest story lines throughout Poker Masters, there were countless to follow throughout the week-long series. Five final tables pitted the world’s best players against each other in $50,000 and $100,000 Championship events, with PokerGO live streams capturing all the action. Those live streams are now available on-demand on PokerGO, with nearly 50 hours of live coverage from the highest stakes week of the year one touch away.

4 – Since Poker After Dark rebooted last month, No Limit Hold’em has been the game of choice. That all changes this week though, with “PLOMG” week featuring high-stakes Pot Limit Omaha cash games. Tom Dwan returns, again, to headline the lineup, along with Phil Galfond, Ben Lamb, and more for three nights of $300/$600 Pot Limit Omaha. The action starts Tuesday, September 26 at 8 PM ET
