Facts and figures. They make the world go around and, more often than not, tell a story without letting opinions or biases get in the way. Which numbers from the past week tell that story and what quick opinions do we have?

$300,000 – This week’s Poker After Dark action raised the stakes and “Rumble with Jungle” week opened with a $50,000 winner-take-all sit and go. Arguably one of the toughest PAD lineups ever assembled battled for a $300,000 prize pool and after Doug Polk was forced to fold pocket aces, Jason Koon cracked aces to book his first Poker After Dark victory.

$1,589,000 – “Rumble with Jungle” week only continued to get bigger after Tuesday’s opening sit and go. A stacked six-handed lineup, featuring Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, Doug Polk, Matt Berkey, Jason Koon, Isaac Haxton and Brian Rast, played two nights of $300/$600 No Limit Hold’em and at a point in Thursday night’s session, there was close to $1.6 million on the table. There is big and then there is big.

2nd – While high stakes Poker After Dark action headlined this week, last week was all about the debut of World Poker Tour final tables on PokerGO. The WPT Legends of Poker Main Event was the first final table to hit PokerGO and after making history by awarding their one-billionth prize dollar, Phil Hellmuth almost made more history in Los Angeles. The 14-time bracelet winner nearly won his first WPT title but instead had to settle for a runner-up finish.

$300,000 – Wait, didn’t we see this number already? Yes, your eyes aren’t deceiving you and another $300,000 figure isn’t a typo. That number represents the total buy-ins of the five-event Poker Masters series which begins next week. Four $50,000 events and a $100,000 Championship will take place from September 13th to September 20th and PokerGO will bring you all the action, from feature to final tables throughout the highest stakes week of the year.

1 – Five events, millions of dollars, and the best players from around the world but there is only one Poker Masters Purple Jacket™. The highest earner throughout the Poker Masters series will win poker’s most stylish trophy and, if they’ve worked out a must-win side-bet with Daniel Negreanu, some more cash to fill the pockets of their one-of-a-kind jacket
