Facts and figures. They make the world go around and, more often than not, tell a story without letting opinions or biases get in the way. Which numbers from the past week tell that story and what quick opinions do we have?

924 – The biggest post-World Series of Poker event over the last few years is the World Poker Tour’s August stop in Durant, Oklahoma. The $3,500 buy-in event drew 924 players to Choctaw Casino Resort and built up an over $3 million prize pool. The field played down to the final table on Monday and will return with Josh Kay in pole position to win his first-career WPT title.

117,707 – A few British players won WSOP bracelets this past summer, including online legend Chris Moorman, and while Sam Grafton wasn’t able to add any gold to his trophy case at the World Series, he opened PokerStars’ post-WSOP schedule with a victory in Romania. Grafton bested a 736-player field to win the PokerStars Festival Bucharest Main Event for just shy of $140,000, a score that pushes The Squid near the $1 million mark in terms of live tournament earnings.

$230,848 – Over the last three months, Nipun Java has won two World Series of Poker bracelets and final tabled the WPT500 at ARIA but that wasn’t enough! Java, who won India’s first WSOP bracelet in June, picked up another sizable six-figure score in the 3,1713-player opening event of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. Many claimed that this summer was the “Summer of India” and after taking down another massive event for a $230,000 score, Java looks like he is making 2017 the “Year of India.”

16 – While Java was turning the WSOP and summer into his own personal playground, PokerGO was streaming WSOP final tables and releasing tons of original content into their on-demand library. Over a dozen new episodes of Pokerography have launched since the start of the summer, including episodes featuring Chris Moneymaker, Jason Koon, Maria Ho and Phil Hellmuth, with more slated to be released over the next few weeks.

6 – Those next few weeks will be filled with Pokerography releases but more importantly, will be jam-packed with “Poker After Dark” action. The series returns in six days and while the opening lineup won’t be confirmed until later this week, the $200/$400 No Limit Hold’em game will be streamed exclusively on PokerGO. Until “Poker After Dark” reboots on August 14, catch up on episodes from past seasons in PokerGO’s THE VAULT.
