Mark Eddleman Leads, Valentin Vornicu in Top Five of Little One for One Drop After Day 1a

The $1,111-entry Little One for One Drop event welcomed 702 entries across an entertaining Day 1a of no limit hold’em action that may not have rattled the Main Event’s boast as the biggest tournament of the day but went some way to set up an exciting play-out to the rest of this glamorous and charity-giving tournament.

Whilst the Big One for One Drop has always carried huge prestige, as well as boasting a massive charity donation to the One Drop foundation as its flag-bearing statement, the Little One for One Drop is an underrated event, the same approximate price as many WSOP events and with a field of players who are likely to have just busted from the Main Event. It represents great value and provides great entertainment as well as raising money for charity and the 2019 inception has been no exception so far.

To the action at the tables, and Mark Eddleman was the player who ended with the most chips, piling up 464,600 by the close of play. He was joined in the top ten by some fearsome foes, however, with Terry Fleischer (319,300) and Valentin Vornicu (354,800) both excelling at the felt.

With Eddleman big stack, other players of high repute who made the Day 2 cut included Mike Leah (191,600), David ‘ODB’ Baker (187,400) and 2019 bracelet event winner Stephen Song (159,600), who is looking to join Robert Campbell in the multiple bracelet winner gang by the event’s end.

Another player to survive the day was World Series legend John Hesp, who bagged up 165,100 on the day and brought his trademark ready wit and flamboyant playing style to the tables at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino yet again.
