While a tweet or two may let fans into their favorite poker player’s heads, it’s usually just for a brief moment thanks to a 140-character limit. Instagram has no such boundaries though and this week brought some pictures across our timeline that were all worth more than a thousand words.

My guy Hef ??

While this post is from a few months ago, it is too good not to feature now that Joe Ingram has upped his Instagram game. Papi has been posting more and more over the last week and if his Grams are as good as his Poker Life Podcast, which won Podcast of the Year at the American Poker Awards, his Twitter game or his debut post from last year, Papi will be a must follow.

Married life. Instead of going out, you stay in and play Monopoly but when you are Jason and Natasha Mercier, the stakes obviously have to be raised. Throwing the phrase “Monopoly money” out the window, the Mercier’s played for cold, hard cash. This is certainly one game where you want to pass go and collect $200 (real) dollars each time.

WPT Raw Deal analyst Tony Dunst has been working overtime during the last few months. That’s because lead WPT commentator Mike Sexton can’t seem to stop making final tables. Sexton won his first WPT title in November and then final tabled last week’s L.A. Poker Classic Main Event and “Bond18” has been Sexton’s back-up during his runs. Dunst has been an amazing replacement in the booth and regardless of how many final table sessions Sexton has to miss, as one of the best ambassadors of the game, his job is likely never in jeopardy.

I knocked out Maria Ho from a poker tournament and all I got was this signed t-shirt. #worldpokertour

There have been tons of amazing pictures and social posts from this week’s WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event and Poker Central Ambassador Maria Ho was one of those Shooting Stars with a bounty. She was knocked out during Tuesday’s Day 1B session and joked that a t-shirt was the victors only prize. Not so fast, as each Shooting Star also had a $2,500 price tag on their heads, meaning whoever sent Ho to the rail got some cash, a t-shirt, a great story and experience at Bay 101.
