While a tweet or two may let fans into their favorite poker player’s heads, it is usually just for a brief moment thanks to a 140-character limit. Instagram has no such boundaries though and this week brought some pictures across our timeline that were all worth more than a thousand words.

When life gives you lemons….SELL LEMONADE!!! #TeamPerkins #FutureCEOs

Bill Perkins is one of the most successful hedge fund managers in the United States but this week, while in the US Virgin Islands, #TeamPerkins moved into a different industry. Perkins and his family opened their own (temporary) lemonade stand. Initial returns haven’t been released just yet but we’d imagine that Perkins’ lemonade start-up has more capital than your average neighborhood lemonade stand.

If diamonds are a girl’s best friend, shoes are a close second. The always fashionable Jennifer Tilly posted these handmade Dolce & Gabbana, hellooooo, poker-themed high heels and they will go perfectly with Tilly’s D&G card purse, her D&G poker-themed jacket and her D&G Queen of Hearts sunglasses. Jennifer Tilly clearly loves her Dolce & Gabbana and we clearly love Jennifer Tilly.

Can’t stop, won’t stop!! BRIAN Tech!

At the start of the year, Jason Koon posed this flexin’ picture from the PokerStars Championship Bahamas after winning the opening PCB $100,000 Super High Roller. The stakes might have been slightly smaller but after his good friend Ben Tollerene took down the $50K Super High Roller at the PokerStars Championship Panama, the same poses came out. Same picture, different event and the only thing missing this time around was Richard Seymour.

Sam Panzica was surprised at the start of the Season XV WPT Bay 101 final table when his mother, Amelia, showed up to watch. Not knowing whether or not her son would even reach the final six, Amelia headed to the airport to make the trip. Just as she arrived to board, the final table was set and her son was in line for his second WPT title. Speaking with him on the phone to congratulate him, Amelia acted as if she wasn’t going to be able to attend, just as when she had to miss out on the Season XV WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble final table that gave Panzica his first WPT title. Amelia arrived just before the final table began, snuck up behind her son, and surprised him. Then Sam went on to win the tournament for $1.373 million! #WorldPokerTour #WPT #WPTBay101 #Poker

If you play college or professional sports, you have a set schedule of competition so your friends and family know when and where you will be playing. Poker players don’t have that luxury, so when Sam Panzica’s mother, Amelia, showed up to watch him go for his second WPT title of Season XV, Panzica was thoroughly surprised. His mom, who missed his first win of the year in Jacksonville, then saw her son claim an over $1,300,000 score and move himself into a great position to make a run at WPT Player of the Year heading into the final few events of the season.
