With so much poker-related video content out there, it may be hard to catch it all. Don’t worry though, Poker Central’s “Don’t Look Now” series will get you caught up to speed. Covering everything from highlights to “viral” content to quick hits from social media to on-demand PokerGO content, and more, “Don’t Look Now” brings it all together.

On the felt, Daniel Negreanu opened the year with a 4th place finish in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller. Off the felt, Negreanu opened the year with torn ACL. “Kid Poker” sustained the injury playing soccer, which might be his third love behind poker and the world-beating Vegas Golden Knights. As poker’s all-time winningest player, Negreanu has made countless final tables, but this is the first time he’s ever rolled up to one in a scooter.

While Negreanu finished one spot off the podium, Cary Katz took home gold in the PCA $100,000 Super High Roller. The high stakes regular was short stacked for the majority of the final table, but some timely double ups helped him take down Bryn Kenney, Justin Bonomo, Negreanu and the rest of the star-studded final table. The $1.5 million score is the third seven-figure score of Katz’s career, with the other two coming in the WSOP’s THE BIG ONE for One Drop. We’re still a few months away from this year’s $1 million buy-in event, but Katz opened the year with a big one of his own in the Bahamas.

This past summer, Kevin Hart made Day 2 of the Super High Roller Bowl. In the year’s biggest event he showed poise, a competitive attitude, and a skill set that was equal to some of the world’s best players. This hand, from a PCA cash game featuring Hart, Daniel Negreanu, Liv Boeree, Charlie Carrel, and more, shows a different side of Kevin Hart. The actor and comedian misreads his hand and then gets to the river and make a crying call, only to see that he actually has king-high instead of a straight. Somehow, king-high is good and somehow, I think this is Kevin Hart playing the long game when it comes to high stakes poker.

Most charity events feature smaller buy-ins, but Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov had big ideas when the PCA schedule was set. They organized a High Roller event with a $25,000 buy-in, where the rake, $1,000, was donated to REG Charity. The event was a success and was just another instance of poker players giving back.
