With so many personalities and poker related content out there to consume, it may be hard to catch it all but don’t worry. Each Monday, Poker Central’s Don’t Look Now series will get you up to speed on everything poker and video from the last week. From highlights, “viral” content, quick hits from social media and on-demand PokerGO content, “Don’t Look Now” brings it all together.

Could we really open this week’s delayed Don’t Look Now article, we wanted to wait for the dust to settle from the debut of Poker After Dark, with anything other than the hand everyone is talking about? Tom Dwan returned to TV and found the dream spot on the opening night of PokerGO’s exclusive Poker After Dark coverage, scooping an over $700,000 pot with pocket aces against the pocket kings of Antonio Esfandiari. Talk about a homecoming…

What is “good” for poker will always bring on some healthy discussion and ahead of his Poker After Dark return, Daniel Negreanu hit his YouTube channel to give his insights to the age old question. The Hall of Famer, who has been in the game for 20 years and has always done what he can to help grow the entire poker industry, talked WSOP, Player of the Year, poker awards, Poker Masters, PokerGO and much more but would also likely agree that Tom Dwan and Poker After Dark are also good for the game.

While Tom Dwan has been away from the American poker scene for the last few years, a player who will always be tied to Dwan, no matter what, is Daniel “Jungleman” Cates. The two began the Durrrr Challenge years ago and Cates addressed their heads up challenge during his recent conversation with Doug Polk but plenty more was discussed. The online high stakes legend talked about everything from playing in Asia, huge mixed games in Las Vegas, playing against online poker’s best and the future of the game and was just one of the interesting guests that hit Polk’s YouTube channel this week.

At the beginning of the week, no one was sure just how big each Poker After Dark cash game session would play and after Dwan’s bladed cut him a $700,000 pot, we had our answer. Few could predict that the game would actually get bigger but it did, culminating with a nearly $1 million pot at the end of Wednesday night’s session. Matthew “Aussie Matt” Kirk cracked Bill Klein’s aces to win the biggest pot of the week and now, it feels like it is only a matter of time until seven-figures gets into the middle and would anyone be surprised to see $1.5 or even $2 million thresholds fall if the stakes are big enough? We’ll have to stay tuned to PokerGO to find out…

Don’t Look Now Bonus Video: Poker movies aren’t exactly always hits but Aaron Sorkin’s new film Molly’s Game looks like it could be one of the exceptions to that rule. Starring Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba, the film follows the story of Molly Bloom, who ran the world’s most exclusive high stakes poker game for the better part of a decade. Molly’s Game is set to hit theaters in November.
