Event #3 of the Poker Masters sent cards flying Friday at 2 pm PT and drew 48 entrants – coming in just under the 51 and 50 entries that first two events had. With a slightly smaller field, Event #3 pays out only the final seven players, Dan Smith brings the largest stack to a final table yet and Bryn Kenney looks to improve on his seventh-place finish from Event #2 when the final table goes live on PokerGO at 3:30 pm ET.

Kenney earned $125,000 for his efforts on Friday, which added to his GPI Player of the Year standings lead and he spoke about being ranked the world’s number one player. 2017 WSOP One Drop winner Doug Polk returns second in chips behind Dan Smith as Cary Katz and Erik Seidel return as the short stacks.

Steffen Sontheimer leads the race for the Poker Masters Purple Jacket after winning Event #2 on Friday for $900,000. Instead of celebrating, he jumped right into Event #3 and nearly made second final table. He bubbled the tournament in eighth place after shoving his short stack holding pocket tens and Kenney called with ace-queen offsuit. A queen hit the flop and Sontheimer missed out on another Day2.

However, Sontheimer leads the race for the Poker Masters Purple Jacket after defeating Fedor Holz in Event #2.

Cards hit the air the Event #3 Final Table at 3:30 pm ET only on PokerGO. Commentators Ali Nejad and David Williams are on tap to call all the action with Maria Ho bringing reports from the floor and players.
