The first-ever Bellagio $25K Mixed Game High Roller drew a diverse crowd. There were Bobby’s Room cash game regulars, high stakes mixed game players, tournament veterans and a field that boasted 32 combined World Series of Poker bracelets.

Ben Lamb is all of those things and then some. He’s a staple in some of Las Vegas’ biggest cash games and has built a tournament resume that includes deep runs, podium finishes and victories in some of the world’s biggest events.

His first deep run came in the 2009 WSOP Main Event, where he finished 14th. Two years later, he was making the podium in that same event, finishing 3rd for a $4,000,000 score and earlier that summer, Lamb won his first WSOP bracelet in the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship.

He also has final table results in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship and other WSOP events, which is the exact kind of experience needed to not only compete at this level but also succeed. Lamb did just that tonight, navigating a tough field with a top stack for most of the day but even when he dipped below the chip average at the final table, the Las Vegas veteran never seemed to worry.

After making the money, and then winning today’s Bellagio $25K Mixed Game High Roller for $281,200, Lamb joked that he “got his yearly cash out of the way”. This was actually his first cash since early 2015 and if tonight’s historic victory is the momentum that pushes Lamb to make up for lost time heading into the summer, he could be poised for another one of those massive WSOP results in 2017.

That concludes Poker Central’s coverage of the Bellagio $25K Mixed Game High Roller. Relive all the action here and thanks for following.
