While this ARIA $25K High Roller field was playing down to the final table, Dietrich Fast may have proposed the perfect Lodden Thinks question to his table.

How many more words has Charlie Carrel spoken in his lifetime, than Jake Schindler has in his?

The question is impossible to answer, although you’d assume the talkative British professional wins in a landslide, but that is because Schindler lets his cards, chips and results do most of his talking for him.

Throughout today’s $25K High Roller, Schindler was quiet and calculating. He hovered under the radar heading towards the final table and once he got there, he announced himself near the bubble and then became a staple at the top of the leaderboard. Schindler then stayed at the top, all the way to his first ARIA High Roller title of the year.

After winning three ARIA High Rollers last year, it looks like Schindler is picking up where he left off in 2016. He was quiet then too, earning over $3,700,000 and putting together his best calendar year as a professional, all while keeping a relatively low profile. Even during his victory today, during the swings that came with it, Schindler was cool, calm and levelheaded.

Maybe that is what separates players at this level and maybe that is why Jake Schindler, after claiming a $364,320 score for a victory tonight, looks poised to continue to crush ARIA High Rollers just like he did last year.

Relive the final table of the ARIA $25K High Roller with the updates below. Poker Central will be back at ARIA for another $25K High Roller tomorrow, starting at 2 PM. Thanks for following and we will see you then.

2:43am: Jake Schindler wins ARIA $25K High Roller for $364,320, Claas Segebrecht eliminated in 2nd place ($198,000)
Level 21 – Blinds 25,000/50,000 (ante 5,000)

There was a short period of heads up play where Jake Schindler and Claas Segebrecht seemed to be feeling each other out but then an action flop got all the chips in the middle and very quickly, today’s ARIA $25K High Roller was over with Schindler sitting in the winner’s circle.

Action was picked up with Schindler checking on a board of 866♠. Segebrecht bet 100,000 and Schindler quickly check-raised to 280,000. With close to 1,100,000 behind, Segebrecht went into the tank and then announced himself “all-in”.

After re-checking his cards, Schindler verbalized “call” and he tabled K♣6♣. He needed his trips to hold against his opponent’s flush draw, as Segebrecht held J10. Schindler did hold, as the J♦ fell on the turn and the 8 filled him up on the river.

Both players congratulated each other on their deep runs and Claas Segebrecht will earn $198,000 for his first career ARIA High Roller score. This is far from the first we’ve seen Jake Schindler on the ARIA High Roller scoresheet and a complete winner’s story will be posted shortly.

2:30am: Bryn Kenney eliminated in 3rd place ($110,880)
Level 21 – Blinds 25,000/50,000 (ante 5,000)

After getting left with less than two big blinds, Bryn Kenney needed a lot of help to get himself back into ARIA $25K High Roller contention. Unfortunately, he got the opposite of help, as he was coolered to the rail in 3rd place, albeit in a pot that was barely worth a starting stack.

Kenney was in the big blind and after Jake Schindler opened the button, Claas Segebrecht got out of the way in the small before Kenney threw in his final few chips to put himself all-in. Schindler tabled 8♠6♠ and Kenney held 43♣, which turned into a monster after the K♣33 flop.

The short stack looked like a lock to at least get one double but then the 8 came on the turn, followed by the 8 on the river. The small crowd of players that were watching the final table play out all seemed to cringe in unison but Kenney seemed to take the brutal beat in stride.

He’ll make just under $111,000 for his podium finish and we are about to enter heads up play, with Jake Schindler holding a 2:1 chip advantage over Claas Segebrecht.

Jake Schindler – 2,200,000
Bryn Kenney – Eliminated in 3rd place ($110,880)

2:24am: Back-to-back-to-back
Level 21 – Blinds 25,000/50,000 (ante 5,000)

The middle portion of Level 21 was packed full of action as double ups occurred on nearly back-to-back-to-back hands to completely alter the landscape of this three-handed final table.

The first double was picked up when Claas Segebrecht shoved the button for 715,000 and Bryn Kenney called in the small blind. Segebrecht was at risk and behind with A2 and he needed to hit to stay alive, as his opponent held A10. The German’s hopes for survival looked dim after the A♠10♣4 flop but after the 7 fell on the turn, he had outs to a flush. Those outs came in on the river, as the 8 completed his flush and saved his tournament life.

Kenney was less than thrilled with the final card, as he sent more than half his stack to his right and was left with just over 650,000. Suddenly the low man, Kenney then played spectator to the biggest pot of the tournament on the very next hand.

Kenney folded his button and after some thought, Schindler open shoved the small blind, for just over 1,000,000. Segebrecht, who was in the big, snap called and Schindler’s A♠8♠ was dominated by his opponent’s AK. Just like in the previous hand though, the worse ace came out on top, as the board ran out 10♠5384♠ to double Schindler and then leave Segebrecht with less than ten big blinds.

A few hands later, Segebrecht was moving back over seven-figures though, after he called Bryn Kenney’s button shove. The German called in the big blind for 575,000 effective and Kenney, who had him covered by close to 100,000, needed to hit to score the knockout. His K♠10♣ couldn’t connect though, with Segebrecht’s A♣Q♣ holding and then improving to a flush on the QJ6♣J♣2♣ runout.

When the dust from all three hands finally settled, Schindler held just over 60% of the total chips in play, Segebrecht was working close to twenty big blinds and Kenney was more or less left for dead.

Claas Segebrecht – 1,150,000
Bryn Kenney – 90,000
Jake Schindler – 2,100,000

2:04am: Schindler puts the pressure on Segebrecht
Level 20 – Blinds 20,000/40,000 (ante 5,000)

In one of the final hands of the level, Jake Schindler and Claas Segebrecht clashed in a sizable pot that resulted in Segebrecht falling below the seven-figure mark for the first time in recent memory.

Action was picked up with Segebrecht opening the button and Schindler defending his big blind to see a Q♠109♣ flop. Both players checked and after the 7♠ came on the turn, Schindler bet 110,000. Segebrecht quickly called and after the Q paired the board on the river, Schindler slid out three full stacks, worth 300,000.

Segebrecht was behind close to 800,000 and as his 30-second timer ticked down, he did looked to perform a quick inventory on his remaining stack. He then folded and even though there was no showdown, you could tell it was a meaningful pot at this stage of the tournament. Schindler is now working a top stack, while Segebrecht is down near the 20 big blind mark.

Jake Schindler – 1,280,000
Claas Segebrecht – 810,000

1:40am: Eric Seidel eliminated in 4th place ($71,280)
Level 19 – Blinds 15,000/30,000 (ante 5,000)

Heading towards the final few minutes of Level 19, Erik Seidel picked up a double but then, just as quickly, saw his tournament run end in 4th place. The double came through Jake Schindler, who open shoved the small blind after the table folded to him. Seidel called in the big, for his final 215,000 and he needed his A♣Q to hold, against Schindler’s 73♠.

After the board ran out clean for the short stack, Bryn Kenney made sure everyone at the final table saw what the “young kids were getting it in with now-a-days”. Schindler could only laugh but a few hands later, it was Kenney who had the last laugh against Seidel. Kenney called the short stack’s button shove from the big blind and then won the flip, as his A♠Q improved against Seidel’s 77♠.

The Q♣96♣ flop shot Kenney into the lead and he kept that advantge through the turn and river, as the 2♠ and 3 completed the board. After Seidel headed to the cage to collect his $71,000 payout, the final three players moved into the next period with more or less even stacks.

Bryn Kenney – 1,200,000
Erik Seidel – Eliminated in 4th place ($71,280)

1:23am: Zach Hyman eliminated in 5th place ($47,520)
Level 19 – Blinds 15,000/30,000 (ante 5,000)

After doubling Zach Hyman up midway through Level 19, Jake Schindler and Hyman clashed again and this time, Schindler sent the last standing non-professional to the rail in 5th place. Action was picked up pre flop, with Hyman flipping for his tournament life with AQ♣ for just over a dozen big blinds. Schindler held 88 and needed his pocket pair to hold to score the first in the money knockout.

The Q♠8♣4♠ flop more or less confirmed Hyman’s elimination, as Schindler flopped a set. Hyman needed running cards to stay alive and after the 9♣ fell on the turn, he was officially drawing dead. The A♣ was an extra needle on the river, as it gave the short stack a meaningless two pair, but Hyman won’t be complaining, as he’ll take home just over $47,500 for his ARIA $25K High Roller efforts.

When the dust settled, Schindler was playing just under a seven-figure stack and along with Claas Segebrecht, the pair hold well over half the chips in play.

Jake Schindler – 940,000
Zach Hyman – Eliminated in 5th place ($47,520)

1:13am: Hyman returns the favor
Level 19 – Blinds 15,000/30,000 (ante 5,000)

Earlier at the final table, Jake Schindler doubled through Zach Hyman to take control of the chip lead. While he isn’t at the top of the leaderboard after his recent double, Zack Hyman now has some more room to work after returning the favor against Jake Schindler in a blind versus blind encounter.

After the table folded to Schindler, who was in the small blind, he announced himself “all-in” and Hyman, who was in the big blind, quickly called for his 260,000 chip effective stack. Hyman tabled A7♣ and he needed to hold against his opponent’s A5

In their last encounter, Schindler’s kicker held and the same happened this time around, although the shoe was on the other foot. The 97♠4K♠6♠ runout confirmed Hyman’s double and when the dust settled, both players were on either side of the half-million chip mark.

Zach Hyman – 440,000
Jake Schindler – 525,000

12:50am: ITM counts, still five-handed
Level 18 – Blinds 10,000/25,000 (ante 5,000)

Level 18 concluded without another elimination, which means this ARIA $25K High Roller final table will now head on the second break of the night with five players still in contention for the title. While we are sure that there will be some more movement on the leaderboard before the night is over, as it stands, Claas Segebrecht holds the chip lead.

Segebrecht has been relatively quiet since the final table came together but that doesn’t mean that he hasn’t been making moves. While the rest of the remaining players have been trading bigger blows, pre flop all-in encounters included, Segebrecht has followed a different path to his leading 1,200,000 chip stack. That path has included small victory after small victory and now, he could be poised to close this event out with a massive win.

That remains to be seen though and the other four players certainly won’t go quietly. A reminder of the remaining final table payouts are listed in the post below and a complete update of the five-handed chip counts are also listed below:

1. Erik Seidel – 460,000
2. Claas Segebrecht – 1,230,000
3. Bryn Kenney – 440,000
4. Jake Schindler – 850,000
5. Zach Hyman – 380,000

12:32am: Kenney flops better, Christner then bubbles
Level 18 – Blinds 10,000/25,000 (ante 5,000)

Every player at this ARIA $25K High Roller final table has experienced some swings to their chip stack but Christian Christner just saw his stack swing in the wrong direction at the wrong time to bubble in 6th place. He took his first hit when he opened the hijack to 55,000 and was forced to fold with close to 400,000 behind to an Erik Seidel 275,000 chip shove.

A few hands later, Christner was in the big blind and he asked for a count after Bryn Kenney open shoved the cutoff for 380,000. Christner was more or less playing the same amount, so if he elected to call, it was for his tournament life as well. Eventually, he did call and he needed his AJ to hold against Kenney’s K♣Q♠.

He couldn’t, as the K9♣8♣ flop shot Kenney into the lead and while Christner was saved by the turn and river in the last level, he couldn’t find any help on this occasion. The 3 and 2♣ completed the board and when the dust settled, he was left with less than one big blind. Christner was eliminated on the very next hand, meaning the rest of this final table was officially in the money.

Bryn Kenney – 860,000
Christian Christner – Eliminated in 6th place

A reminder of the ARIA $25K High Roller payouts are provided below:

1. $364,320
2. $198,000
3. $110,880
4. $71,280
5. $47,520

A complete update of the chip counts will be posted shorty.

12:16am: Schindler shoots to the top
Level 17 – Blinds 10,000/25,000 (ante 3,000)

There was a point near the final table bubble where it looked like a handful of players were going to hold the chip lead when the nine-handed redraw took place and for a brief moment, Jake Schindler controlled the chip lead. He couldn’t take that advantage into the final table, instead entering just below the chip average, but a few levels later, he’s now at the top of the leaderboard.

That’s because Schindler is playing the better part of 750,000 after doubling through Zach Hyman in a blind versus blind encounter. Pre flop action was missed but the cards were picked up on their back, with Schindler holding A♣10 to Hyman’s A9♣. The board ran out clean for Schindler and his kicker played, scoring a double of his 355,000 chip effective stack.

While Schindler shoots himself to the top of the charts, Hyman is still in relatively good shape. He’s behind just shy of a half-million with this field still stuck on the immediate bubble.

Jake Schindler – 760,000
Zach Hyman – 480,000

11:59pm: Christner goes runner-runner to double
Level 17 – Blinds 10,000/25,000 (ante 3,000)

The first half of Level 17 didn’t bring much action, as the majority of pots were contested pre flop with short stacks sand big stacks trading turns shoving to pick up the blinds and antes. When one of those short stacks finally got all of their chips in the middle, it was Christian Christner and the German was in bad shape against Erik Seidel.

Action was picked up with Christner opening to 100,000 from the button and after some thought, Erik Seidel three-bet shoved from the small blind. He had his opponent well covered and Christner quickly called for his effective stack of 247,000. He was drawing to just three immediate outs, with A5 behind Seidel’s A♣J♠.

The 98♠6♣ flop gave Christner additional outs to a straight and after the Q fell on the turn, he picked up even more outs with a flush draw. That flush draw came in on the river, as the K completed the board and kept this ARIA $25K High Roller field on the bubble. The other five players didn’t seem to like that but Christner and his German comrades on the rail didn’t seem to mind.

He’s now up near a half-million, while Seidel takes another small hit to fall down near 325,000.

Christian Christner – 510,000
Erik Seidel – 330,000

11:44pm: Bryn doubles, Fast brings on bubble
Level 16 – Blinds 10,000/20,000 (ante 2,000)

The last few hands have brought some action, as Bryn Kenney doubled through Erik Seidel and then Dietrich Fast saw his short stack hit the rail against the suddenly white hot Zach Hyman.

The first hand was picked up with Erik Seidel opening in late position and Bryn Kenney three-bet shoving for just over 200,000. Seidel called and he needed to hit one of three immediate outs to score the knockout, as he held AQ to Kenney’s QQ♣.

Kenney couldn’t fade the A92♠ flop but the Q♠ shot him back into the lead. The 10♠ completed the board and Kenney moved near the chip average for the first time in recent memory. It was a small hit for Seidel, who is still near the top of the leaderboard but even he is looking up at Zach Hyman, who is now over 1,000,000 after eliminating Dietrich Fast in 7th place.

That bust out was picked up pre flop, with Fast open shoving the button for close to 170,000. The small blind folded and Hyman quickly called in the big, turning over A♠Q♠. Fast held 5♠4♠ and he couldn’t connect on the J8278 runout, confirming his elimination.

As it stands, we are now on the immediate ARIA $25K High Roller bubble, with Zach Hyman holding close to a third of the total chips in play.

Zach Hyman – 1,160,000
Bryn Kenney – 460,000
Erik Seidel – 550,000
Dietrich Fast – Eliminated in 7th place

11:33pm: Hyman clips Christner to move up charts
Level 16 – Blinds 10,000/20,000 (ante 2,000)

In one of the first hands of Level 16, Zach Hyman and Christian Christner collided in a massive pot. Action was picked up with Hyman opening the button to 45,000 and after some thought, Christner three-bet shoved for just over 525,000 from the small blind. Erik Seidel quickly got out of the way in the big but Hyman needed some time to make up his mind. He counted out his stack, which clocked in at just under 390,000, a few times and then eventually verbalized “call”.

Hyman tabled 88 and he needed his pocket pair to hold against the AJ of Christner. It did after the 10♠2♠2 flop and after the 8♠ fell on the turn, Hyman’s double was confirmed. The river meaninglessly fell and Christner was sending a majority of his stack to his right.

While Hyman stacked up just over 800,000, he turned to Jake Schindler, who is to his right, and asked, “Crazy?”

Schindler didn’t seem to have a good answer but crazy or not, Zach Hyman is now one of the chip leaders as this ARIA $25K High Roller continues to play down to the money.

Zach Hyman – 810,000
Christian Christner – 135,000

11:20pm: Updated counts after first break
Level 16 – Blinds 10,000/20,000 (ante 2,000)

After a short break, seven players will return to Level 16 and while there has been some movement on the ARIA $25K High Roller final table leaderboard, Erik Seidel continues to pace the field. Seidel scored two knockouts to quickly move himself near the 1,000,000 chip mark and while he lost a few big blinds towards the end of the last period, he is still in control of this final table.

The rest of the field, save for Claas Segebrecht and Christian Christner, are under the chip average. With five players making the money in this event, that should mean we are in store for some very tactical play over the next few levels.

Unfortunately for those under the chip average, the blinds just made a big jump to 10,000/20,000. That means that three players are all either at or below 15 big blinds. A complete update of the remaining player’s chip counts is provided below:

1. Erik Seidel – 880,000
2. Claas Segebrecht – 670,000
3. Bryn Kenney – 260,000
4. Dietrich Fast – 250,000
5. Jake Schindler – 315,000
6. Zach Hyman – 425,000
7. Christian Christner – 515,000

11:08pm: Seidel slays another, Aldemir is the victim
Level 15 – Blinds 7,000/15,000 (ante 2,000)

Two ARIA $25K High Roller final table eliminations and both knockouts have gone to Erik Seidel. The final table chip leader just sent Koray Aldemir out in 8th place, after the short stack shoved just over a dozen big blinds from the cutoff. Seidel, who was on the button, called and after the blinds folded, it was a flip for Aldemir’s tournament life, as he held A♣10♣ to Seidel’s 88♣.

The short stack needed to hit to stay alive and even though he picked up additional outs after the QJ4 flop, he wasn’t able to connect on the turn or river. The board ran out with the 7 and the 9♣, meaning he was eliminated in one of the final hands of Level 15.

When the dust settled, Seidel was behind just over 900,000, which is good for over a quarter of the total chips in play. A complete update of the remaining counts will be provided shortly.

Erik Seidel – 920,000
Koray Aldemir – Eliminated in 8th place

10:58pm: And now we wait…
Level 15 – Blinds 7,000/15,000 (ante 2,000)

While the final table got underway with some quick action, ever since the elimination of Charlie Carrel, the pace of play has drastically slowed. The majority of action through Level 15 has been pre flop, with short stacks shoving and doing just enough to take down the blinds and antes. For some of those short stacks, including Koray Aldemir, those additions to his stack have been critical.

Aldemir came into the final table with the shortest stack and while he’s still short, he’s inched his way up near 200,000 and could just be one double away from getting himself back into contention.

The remaining eight players are just a few minutes from their first final table break of the night.

10:43pm: Seidel increases chip lead at Carrel’s expense
Level 14 – Blinds 5,000/10,000 (ante 2,000)

Charlie Carrel entered the final table with one of the shortest stacks and that meant that he was likely going to need a double to get himself back into ARIA High Roller contention. Unfortunately for the British pro, the first time he attempted to make a move at the final table, he ran into Erik Seidel’s over pair and was dispatched in 9th place.

Pre flop action was missed but the cards were picked up on their back, with Carrel holding 8♣8♠ to Seidel’s 1010♣. It appeared that Carrel shoved from late position, for just under 15 big blinds, and Seidel called to try to score the knockout. After the Q102♣ flop, it looked as though he would and even though the turn gave Carrel a gut-shot, he couldn’t connect on the river and his elimination was confirmed.

Despite his final table finish, Carrel will miss out on an ARIA High Roller cash but Erik Seidel looks like he’s poised to make a deep run tonight, as he’s currently playing over 700,000.

Erik Seidel – 735,000
Charlie Carrel – Eliminated in 9th place

10:36pm: Erik Seidel leads ARIA $25K High Roller final table
Level 14 – Blinds 5,000/10,000 (ante 2,000)

The first week of every month means one thing, ARIA High Roller action. The first series of March, and we say first because there are more High Rollers towards the end of the month, brought out a sizable field, with 33 players putting up $25,000. The majority of today’s field will return to ARIA this summer to compete in the Super High Roller Bowl and even though today’s stakes are significantly less, a stacked field is about to take their seats at the final table.

Nearly eight and a half hours after play began, we are down to the final nine and while Germany’s Dietrich Fast looked like he was going to hold the final table chip lead when a dozen players remained, it is instead Erik Seidel who is top of the table. Carrel quietly built a stack after registration closed and won a few decent pots on the final table bubble. Despite some bumps in the road en route to the final table, Fast is still alive, albeit with near the chip average.

Two of his countrymen, Christian Cristner and Claas Segebrecht, are also at the $25K High Roller final table. Each have above average stacks and Koray Aldemir, the fourth German at the final table, is near the bottom of the leader board. Other big name players, including Charlie Carrel, Jake Schindler, Bryn Kenney and David Peters, find themselves on either side of the chip average, while the lone remaining non-professional in the field, Zach Hyman, is just above the chip average.

Unfortunately for the remaining nine players, just because they have made the final table doesn’t mean that they have turned a profit just yet. Only five players will cash in today’s High Roller, meaning that four players will hit the rail with nothing to show for their final table appearances.

A complete list of the remaining player’s chip counts and their final table seating assignments are listed below:

1. Charlie Carrel – 165,000
2. Erik Seidel – 540,000
3. Claas Segebrecht – 510,000
4. Bryn Kenney – 390,000
5. Dietrich Fast – 360,000
6. Jake Schindler – 370,000
7. Zach Hyman – 410,000
8. Koray Aldemir – 140,000
9. Christian Christner – 335,000

The ARIA $25K High Roller payouts are also listed below for your convenience:

1. $364,320
2. $198,000
3. $110,880
4. $71,280
5. $47,520
