PokerGO’s latest original programming series is titled “Beyond the Rail.” This eight-episode series gives you a unique behind-the-scenes look into the 2018 World Series of Poker. In the coming two weeks we will highlight each episode and tell you exactly why this is must-watch action for every poker fan.

On this episode of ‘Beyond the Rail’ the cameras follow Antonio Esfandiari during the 2018 WSOP Main Event in which he made a very deep run. Esfandiari’s love for the WSOP is no secret and by getting this behind-the-scenes look you’ll have an even better understanding of what makes this event so special.

“The WSOP is essential the Super Bowl of poker. It’s the one gathering every year where every poker player comes to,” Esfandiari shared his enthusiasm about the WSOP, the place where he gained worldwide fame for winning the first ever million-dollar tournament in 2012.

The Big One for One Drop winner continues to emphasize what it is that keeps thousands of people coming back for more every year, himself included.

“There aren’t many other places where you can parlay $100 into a $10,000 ticket that gets you a chance to win $10 million. You can’t really do that in other sports because an amateur is never going to compete with the best in the world. The element of luck makes that possible in poker and I think that’s a beautiful thing.”
