Ali Imsirovic stands alone at the top of the Poker Masters leaderboard following his second win in as many days. The young star surpassed his win in the $25,000 No Limit Hold’em event by taking down the $50,000 tournament today on PokerGO. Imsirovic earned $799,000 and jumped past Brandon Adams for first-place with only the $100,000 Main Event left to go.

A tough group of opponents sat in front of Imsirovic but he battled through them all including Justin Bonomo and Jake Schindler to earn 300 more Purple Jacket points.

Imsirovic started the day with a monster chip lead and used the hammer to his advantage. Bonomo was in the hunt for his career Poker Masters title but fell in sixth place and Imsirovic increased his advantage as a result. Sam Soverel departed in fifth place leaving only Imsirovic and Schindler with a chance to pass Adams with a win.

Schindler went busto to Imsirovic in Event 5 and his tormentor got the better of him once more to leave the High Roller pro still searching for the elusive ARIA High Roller Triple Crown win.

Seth Davies went away in third place and Koray Aldemir and Imsirovic were heads up for the title. Before heads up play started, Jeff Platt, Maria Ho, and Brent Hanks broke down the day’s action from the PokerGO Studio break desk.

Play jostled back and forth between the German and the American. Aldemir owned the lead for a brief period before Imsirovic struck back later. Imsirovic surged to the finish line once more and wrapped up his second Poker Masters triumph of the week.

Only the Poker Masters Main Event is left on the schedule and Imsirovic owns a commanding lead over the field. Four players can catch him and the Main Event will decide who wears the Purple Jacket.
