In the buildup of last year’s Super High Roller Bowl, Poker Central rolled out 25 days of player previews to get fans ready for the biggest event of 2017. Over the next month, Poker Central will again preview a massive series, the first-ever U.S. Poker Open. The entire eight-event series will be live streamed on PokerGO and until cards get in the air on February 1, Poker Central will preview the USPO with weekly articles surrounding the brand-new high stakes series.

During next month’s U.S. Poker Open, millions of dollars will be up for grabs through the eight-event series. The USPO has a chance to crown eight victors, but only one player will be named U.S. Poker Open Champion.

Much like last year’s Poker Masters series, the winningest player throughout the series will take home the U.S. Poker Open Championship trophy. This time though, it isn’t a one-of-a-kind jacket, but instead a one-of-a-kind trophy.

The player that claims the nearly 25 pound trophy, that is just over two feet tall, will not only have to be consistent throughout the week-long series, but also prolific in multiple disciplines.

The U.S. Poker Open is the first high stakes series to incorporate mixed games alongside No Limit Hold’em High Rollers. The series will feature a $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha event and a $25,000 USPO Mixed Game Championship, as well as No Limit Hold’em events with buy-ins ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.

Who will end the series atop the leader board and hoist the U.S. Poker Open Championship trophy? No one will know until the Main Event concludes on February 9.

What we do know, is that if the USPO is anything like this year’s Poker Masters series, the action is going to be non-stop and the world’s best will be battling on PokerGO.
